Welcome to Lore League!

Lore League is an inclusive gaming community playing various table-top RPG systems using a West Marches style system, exclusively at Gigabites Cafe in Marietta, GA, every Tuesday night starting at 6 PM (Eastern)

We have our own Discord server where we discuss all things Lore League, so join us there for more information!

Location

As mentioned above, we meet in person every Tuesday at 6 PM at Gigabites Cafe , located at 1851 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA, 30062 Where we have multiple tables reserved for our use, ensuring sufficient space for those interested. However, we encourage everyone to sign up for a session on our WestMarches.games site in advance to secure a spot at one of our tables.

However, please note that in order to sign up for a session, you will first need to join our Discord server and assign yourself the Adventurer role.

Game Systems

Our current focus is on Daggerheart, and all tables will be running this ruleset this season.

However, we're happy to explore additional systems in the future, so keep an eye on this page or visit our Discord server for further information.

Getting Started

  1. Log into our Discord server
    • Go through the onboarding steps
    • Make sure you choose your Roles under the "#Channels & Roles"
      • Choose "I want Adventure" if you want to play in a session
      • Choose "I want to weave Adventure" if you would like to GM a session
      • You can choose multiple roles, and if you're a GM who also wants to play, please choose both.
  2. [optional, but recommended] Go to our WestMarches.games Community Page and sign in with your Discord account (top right)
    • Go to Characters , click "Create Character" (at the bottom) and fill out a character form. This can be anything you like.

      It will also ask for a character URL; most use the link to their character on Demiplane , but it can be anything.

    • Wait for your character to be approved by a GM (which may take a little while, depending on who's available)
    • Go to Sessions and sign up for a table. These generally go online towards the end of the week, so look for them between Friday and the following Tuesday.

While step 2 is optional, signing up for a table ahead of time reserves your space at that table until 6:15 PM. After that, spots are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you don't wish to sign up in advance, we recommend you arrive early.

What should I bring with me?

  1. Preferably, a full set of polyhedral dice and a second set of d12 dice which are distinct from each other.

    You'll use the 2d12 as your "duality" dice. One will be HOPE and the other will be FEAR

  2. You'll also want to bring a character with you, either a paper character sheet and domain cards, or a digital copy.

    If you don't have a character yet, and/or are just wanting to try first, we usually have some pre-made characters you can choose from too.

West Marches

What are the West Marches? We're glad you asked! Essentially, a "West Marches" campaign is a community-driven, collaborative storytelling mechanic for RPG games with multiple GMs and tables. Each session is a one-shot that adds to the collective fiction, lore, and legends of our shared world, "The Gi'Gabi Coast." Players may freely choose which sessions they will participate in, without losing out on any of the "story".
